This is my final project from my first ever animation class. I was tasked with recreating a 30 second clip from a live action movie and recreating it with inanimate household objects. I chose the snake fight scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets recreated with my showerhead and shampoo bottle. I am responsible for modeling, texturing, lighting, rigging, animating, and rendering this entire piece. Before this class, I had never rigged or animated anything in Maya before, which made this a core experience as an animator. While the process was one of the most stressful things I’ve ever done, and it’s definitely not perfect, I think the final product turned out well given my skill level at that time. This piece was made through September – December 2023.
All animation, rigging, modeling, lighting, and rendering done in Maya. Textures were made in Adobe Substance Painter.
